Ayahuasca Advice From Aya Quest

Choosing to partake in an Ayahuasca Ceremony is no small undertaking, we don't care who you are or if you choose to do it with Aya Quest or with someone somewhere else. There are some basic guidelines that we would like to share with you to help you make an informed decision and to make your journey the best it can be regardless of where you go.

First, you need to make sure that you do your due diligence on the endeavor you are beginning. You need to read up on Ayahuasca and understand what it is and how it works. A lot of people aren't aware of the fact that Ayahuasca is a mix of MAOI's as well as DMT, or the fact that there are some medications that can't be mixed with Ayahuasca. They also aren't aware that more often than not, their medications can be switched to something that CAN work with ayahuasca. You also need to understand that Ayahuasca isn't a cure. It is a very powerful tool, but a tool none the less. You have to be willing to do the work that goes along with it!

Secondly, RESEARCH the place you're planning on attending. How long have they been in operation? How much experience do they personally have with Ayahuasca? Have they ever had any accidents or injuries occur at their location? If so, what was it and how quickly were they able to respond? Are they easy to reach via email, phone, etc.? Are they prompt in returning your calls and/or emails? Do they truly LISTEN to and honestly address your questions and concerns? Are there other members who are willing to reach out and talk with you about their experience(s) there? Do they have your best interest at heart or do they just seem interested in "selling" you ayahuasca?

Third, you have to be willing to LISTEN to your guides! If you aren't willing to listen, you have no business attending a ceremony anywhere. Your guides can't help you if you aren't listening. And if you are listening, your guides (provided they have any clue as to what they are doing) will have given you navigational and coping tools to use prior to your journey. They should also remind you of those during your journey where needed, however, if you are unwilling to listen, they will be rendered unable to help.

Lastly, come to this with an open heart and an open mind! This is not something for those who can't find their way out of the box. This is for those who know there is something more than what we've seen or been told; who know that we are far more than we think we are! Regardless of where you choose to have a ceremony, ultimately what you get is between you and Mother Aya. It doesn't matter if you're in a mud hut, a tent, a trailer park or the Vatican, Mother Aya will give you what you NEED (not necessarily what you want) WHEN you need it! It doesn't matter if it's help with addiction, spiritual guidance, physical help, emotional help, or whatever. She will help you, you just have to be open and willing to receive it.
